Orderly, based in Derby, created a system that allows NHS workers to identify themselves online and request a Food Box Delivery (provided by Morrisons).

The technology, which was originally designed, built and implemented for Morrisons in just 6 days, now allows NHS workers to identify themselves online and request a Food Box Delivery (provided by Morrisons).

As an NHS worker, they are given priority and receive a next day delivery of essential supplies. The service began in early April, when NHS workers were under enormous strain, and is still being used today.

NHS workers are able to use the service and quickly have food and household deliveries
waiting for them at home, or using a click and collect service at a number of hospital pick up locations.

Without the technology, many NHS workers would have to wait much longer for deliveries as supermarkets are overwhelmed with delivery requests.

Orderly’s technology is used to identify NHS key workers and in the prioritisation of picking, packing and dispatching their delivery boxes. It also integrates payments processing, couriering and reporting.

Peter Evans, CEO of Orderly said:

“We are thrilled to help ensure that NHS workers get the basic supplies they need, quickly and with certainty. We know that agile technology can make a real difference to people’s lives, especially in these uncertain times, and we’re very proud to be making a tangible difference to the thousands of NHS heroes as they help see us through the crisis”.
